In an attempt to raise consciousness in this time of living and going "green", it is my pleasure to offset the carbon footprint of any and all of my clients by purchasing renewable or "green" energy. What this amounts to is that whenever an escrow is finalized I will then offer you the online tool necessary to calculate your own or your family's carbon footprint based on a number of factors from the car(s) you drive to the kind of lighting you use to the food you eat. Based on that total calculation I will then purchase enough alternative energy to neutralize your carbon footprint for the first six months in your new home (if you just bought with me) or in your just sold home (if you are a seller not buying another home locally). Offsetting one's carbon footprint during a six month period can add up to many hundreds of dollars of alternative energy which I am glad to pay for as a show of thanks for your loyalty to working with me and as yet another step to slow the pace of climate change for generations to come.
Local
As a long time resident of Marin and a strong supporter of the Bay Area community I feel that in this day and age it is as important, if not more, to give as it is to receive. Along these lines I have always taken a very strong view that giving back to those in need within our local community is something that will only strengthen and nurture the whole Bay Area community for us all. In order to facilitate this process it is my ultimate pleasure to donate $100 in the name of every seller or buyer that closes a transaction with me to any of the non-profits listed below. Please understand that the select list of non-profits shown was carefully chosen amongst literally hundreds that benefit, in some way or another, the Bay Area. Those shown embody some aspect of what makes the Bay Area so unique and all are worthy and appreciative recipients of this donation. Please note also that at the end of the escrow I will give you the opportunity to choose the recipient of your $100 donation that will be paid by me but made in your name or in honor of someone of your choosing. Just another way that At Home In Marin and Jonathan Marks stands out amongst the rest! Non-Profits from Which to Choose:
